2. Reservations & Payment

• A valid credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation.
• Full payment is due at check-in.
• Accepted payment methods: Credit Card and Debit.

3. Cancellations & No-Shows

• Free cancellation if notice is given at least 24 hours before the check-in time (3:00 PM) on the scheduled day of arrival.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before arrival will be charged the first night’s stay.
• No-shows will be charged the first night’s stay, and the remainder of the reservation will be cancelled and no longer guaranteed.

4. Damage, Keys, Incidentals & Cleaning

• A $20 per night hold may be placed on your credit card at check-in for incidentals.
• We reserve the right to charge the credit card on file for:
  • Property damage
  • Missing items
  • Excessive cleaning required beyond normal use
  • Lost or unreturned keys ($25 fee)

5. Guest Conduct & Property Rules

• Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please keep noise to a minimum during this time to respect other guests.
• Smoking Policy: Bayview Inn is a completely smoke-free property. Guests may smoke outdoors in designated areas in compliance with Provincial law. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged if smoking occurs in rooms or if a heavy smoke odour is detected.
• No open flames (candles, etc.) are permitted in the building.
• Pets:
  • Cats and dogs only, maximum 2 pets per room
  • Must be leashed or in a carrier in hallways and public areas
  • Non-refundable pet fee: $35 per reservation
  • Additional cleaning charges may apply if necessary
• Alcohol & Loitering: Consumption of alcohol or loitering is not permitted in hallways, lobby, or other unlicensed public areas.
• Parties: No parties are permitted to take place in hotel rooms.
• Any persons found unlawfully in the building, or using the building for unlawful purposes, will be removed immediately.

6. Liability & Safety

• Non-skid bath mats are available for guests if requested.
• Liability for loss or theft of guest belongings is limited to that set out in the Innkeeper’s Act of Newfoundland and Labrador.
• The hotel will maintain a Lost & Found, but may not retain unclaimed items longer than 30 days.
• The hotel is unstaffed between midnight and 11:00 AM. Emergency contact details are provided to all guests.
• There are courtesy telephones for guests, available on each floor, for personal or emergency use.

7. Parking

• Complimentary self-parking is available for guests.
• Parking is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The hotel is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to vehicles or their contents.

8. Internet Use

• Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for all guests.
• Illegal activities, including unauthorized downloading, are prohibited.
• Excessive usage may be throttled to maintain fair access for all guests.

9. Force Majeure

Bayview Inn reserves the right to cancel or modify reservations in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government regulations, labour disputes, or other events that make it impossible or unsafe to operate.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and applicable bylaws of the Town of Bay Roberts.
